ABOUT HERO OF THE DAY

There is good in each of us. Too often we are persuaded to take a polarized view of our fellow humans - they are either "good or bad", "saintly or evil", “honest or dishonest". However, humans are far more complex, and each of us has done some good and some bad. While I accept that criticism is necessary, the good in people should also be the subject of our attention. Sadly, the media tends to thrive on highlighting only the bad about people. 

 

This site is a celebration of the good that exists in all of us. 

 

​Each day the good in one person will be showcased, and that person will be celebrated as the "hero of the day". That person may be living today or a historical figure, may be young or old, or may be famous or infamous.
